Initially used to resurface driveways, the rubber paving concept has since been expanded to include a variety of surfaces, such as sidewalks, pathways, patios, pool decks, sport courts and more. Continue below to explore our options.
We are proud to be an approved installer of Shercom technology since 2015. We are currently providing rubber paving services in the Greater Calgary, Vancouver, and Victoria regions!
Shercom has pioneered and perfected the SHER-WAY rubber paving system over the past 30 years! SHER-WAY rubber paving is created by combining recycled rubber crumb with a proprietary binding agent according to a strict formula developed by Shercom. The Rubber Paving concept has now been expanded to include;
Rubber paving can be installed practically anywhere and can transform your existing surface, no matter how bad it currently looks.
Rubber paving easily resurfaces and repairs even the worst driveway, whether concrete, asphalt, or hard-packed aggregate. It’s unaffected by weather, and should a vehicle, shed, or other heavy item be left on it – even for an extended period of time – it’ll immediately regain its original shape.
Unlike concrete, rubber paving stretches and contracts without cracking. Additionally it outperforms other surfaces in wet and icy conditions by providing excellent traction.
And, as a bonus, it comes in your preferred colour, making it not only the most responsible surfacing choice but also the most eye-catching.
Our poured-in-place rubber surfacing is seamless and safer than concrete, wood, PVC, or vinyl decking and can be installed over top of your existing patio or pool deck – saving you thousands.
Rubber paving provides comfort, safety, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing it won’t crack in the freezing cold or inclement weather. Porous and non-slip, this is a surface that prevents hazardous puddles from forming and provides a safe walking area, even when wet.
Slip-resistant rubber surfacing is ideal for sidewalks, walkways, and stairs, which otherwise would be prone to causing trips and falls. And given its durability and resistance to moisture damage, it’s ideal for western Canada.
Unlike concrete, it’s built to withstand freeze and thaw cycles, with a poured in place installation process means it can be installed over badly damaged surfaces that would otherwise be costly to remove and replace.
Trusted, transformational, and manufactured with 100% Canadian-recycled tires
Rubber paving is created by combining recycled rubber crumb with a proprietary binding agent according to a strict formula developed by Shercom. During the curing period, the crumb and binding agent fuse to create a continuous, flexible rubber pavement layer (approx. ⅝ of an inch once packed and dry) that covers the underlying surface. Initially used to resurface driveways, the rubber paving concept has since been expanded to include a variety of surfaces, such as sidewalks, pathways, patios, pool decks, sports courts, running tracks, trails, and livestock facilities.
